Don't Beat A Dead Horse

My Dear Friends:

I am not a doctor, nor have I ever played one on TV either. However, I have taken CPR several times in my life...so perhaps that is why I thought I might be able to I am not a doctor, nor have I ever played one on TV either. However, I have taken CPR several times in my life...so perhaps that is why I thought I might be able to necessitate a dying web site. Of course, I speak of the site here at www.clickzvault.net. The site was on it's last leg when I purchased it almost a year ago...but that didn't stop me (duhh).

I really believed that I could make something out of this site. I knew that it had it's potential to become more than it ever could. I sincerely believed in my heart, that by providing a professional management background in the service of our members, I could win back our members to this site. But wishing these things have not made it so. Though I have done more for this site in the few months than our predecessor had....It was too later for this site...AKA: SS Titanic.

I did manage to get our members paid. And continue to do so to this day. And although I have spent over $1,500 out of my pocket to pay members and revamp the site appearance and script....still it was not enough. I have managed to win over some staunch enemies of the site (eh hemm....Twysted)...but still was not enough to keep the site working.

I have taken the pulse of the site, and the reality of it is this. With the greatly diminished membership (from over 1700 members to a handful of active members)...and with no revenue at all coming in at all: I have decided to euthanize this mostly already dead shell of a site.

So what does this mean to our membership? Well, the first thing is that I didn't want to just pull the plug without giving our members a fair and ample amount of warning. I just hate when you go to a site, and all of the sudden, it is GONE. So I will not be "pulling the plug" until February 28, 2009. After that, there will be no new members; no ads to click; and no way to request a payout.

If you wish to get a payout, and you have qualified for one...then you must make your request prior to us shutting down. We will honor all requests for payouts as we always have. They will still need to meet our normal payment requirements (no cheaters, scammers, multiple accounts & etc.). I will make the payouts as quickly following the closure of the site, to complete our business here.

Though the site will be shut down sometime on 2/28...the forum will remain in effect for the foreseeable future. I am not going to put a time limit on it now...but I would think that it should run for at least the duration remaining on our ownership of the domain name (but don't quote me on this point).

I am really sorry for this action. I really feel that I have failed our membership and advertisers. But perhaps I just was not realistic in my conviction of the potential of the site. There is only one ray of hope that I see now. That is if we gain a major influx of both members and legitimate advertisers. But alas...I will not hold my breath waiting on that.

I would encourage all of our friends who have put their belief and trust in our management of this site: to go visit one of our other PTC sites. We manage a "normal" PTC site at www.MyPTCClicks.com. And for those advertisers and members who wish to market any "adult" themed sites, why not our newest site at www.PTCxxxClicks.com: where adult related (porn) sites ARE allowed.

If you should have any questions concerning any of subject matter here: please do not hesitate in contacting us at once, so we can attend to your needs.

The Best Intentions...

Sometimes the best intentions just don't cut it. You can intend on loosing weight, or starting an exercise program....but if you don't actually start these tasks: it wont matter how good your intentions are. Also, sometime life just gets in the way of you acting on your good intention. Perhaps you are on your way to see you child's dance recital, when you are involved in an accident, and have to be taken to the hospital. Sure...you had every good intention on making the recital...but life just got in the way.

Well, I guess we have had a similar experience our self. Although it was our intention to have our site back up and running as a full PTC site by today...it just didn't happen that way. And without rehashing all of the things that have gone on her in the past few weeks: let me just say that our schedule was thrown off by the down time (inability to access and test our site) about a week ago. These things happen, and I really don't have any other excuse.

I am not a programmer...and I am not familiar with PHP/MySQL (yet) to be able to do the programming aspects myself. So I must rely on others to do this. Because of the aforementioned down time of several days...all of our best intentions were also pushed back as well. I was really hoping that we could have found some way to get this done by the deadline that I had set...but we couldn't.

So I have been told that it will probably take another few days to get everything wrapped up (that must be done...not the other needs). However, I am going to be a little more cautions in "announcing" a new roll out date at this time. I will wait until he (Twysted) can give me a firm date & time for the roll out. So watch for additional announcements here, on the site, and in the forums as well as to the "Official" New Grand Re-Opening Date.

CV Site Back Up & Running

Just a quick note to let everyone that when I checked the site at 12:43pm CST (GMT -6) today: I found that the site was back up and running. HOPEFULLY we won't be having any more down time...at least not for a very long time.

Latest Delay...Courtesy Of GoDaddy.com

Well...it didn't happen. The ClickzVault site, which was "supposed" to have been displaying again today...wasn't. It should have been working by 10:09am today...but when I called Carl at GoDaddy.com at 11:05am...it STILL was not displaying.

And after being put on hold no less than 4 times...what I found out was that the site some how was pointing to the wrong DNS. So after resetting it, and getting it where it is supposed to be pointing...that is when Carl dropped the bomb. He told me that it could take yet another 48 hours for this to get resolved. We have already been without a site for the past couple of days...and another 48 hours will just extend our access to test all of our new features.

We are going to do all that we can to get this site back up and running before our Grand Re-Opening on July 1 - in order to keep my promise to all of my members. If there are any further updates...I will continue to post them here until I can get the site up and running.

Site Down...Yet Again

Ok...this story is getting pretty old: but I know I need to tell it. A couple of days ago, I went online and did a back up of our databases for both the site and forum. A few hours later...neither site would display. I shot over a message to my tech guy (even though I knew he was out sick). His responce was that he thought that because we were changing over the domain name to my new hosting account: that might be the reason for the site going down.

I'm not that knowledgeable about such things...but it just didn't seem to make any sense to me. So today, I called my hosting company to see if I could find out what was going on. Basically, what I was told: was that they had to do a refresh on the file(s) that told the internet where to look for my site (DNS). He said that it normally would take between 24-48 hours for this to get completed; but because we already had everything else set up: it should take somewhere between 2-24 hours.

Ok...so this was at a little after 10am today. So if all goes well, we should get the site back up and running between 12pm today; and 10am tomorrow. I have also been advised by my tech support guy that his apprentice has done some work on the site (script); and has cleaned things up a bit. I am, as I hope you are as well: really looking forward to seeing the site now.

Site Up And Running...

Check out the "New & Improved" ClickzVault.net. We are getting a new look...and adding new features constantly. After being down for almost a week with our server issues...we finally got things fixed and are running live again.

If you have not been to the site in a while, check out the new flash landing page at www.clickzvault.net. This was an unexpected bonus that Twysted has given to our site. I am sure that he has many other new things in mind as well. This IS what he truely excels at...great job man!!

I have a few more things that I am working on before our Grand Re-Opening on July 1, 2008. One of those things WAS getting people paid who were on our pending list: DONE!! I just sent a MassPay through PayPal today to 29 members. You can read more about this in our forum at www.clickzvault.net/support.

Some of the other things I am working on is figuring out exactly what we should charge for our advertising rates and member upgrades. Additionally, I need to know exactly how much our members are going to get paid (that is why you go to a PTC site...isn't it?) for the different type of ads. Although I would like to pay a minimum of .01/click...I may have to start off at a lower amount until I can build up the advertisers and start selling many membership upgrades.

So I have my work cut out for me. I have given myself until this Friday (6/20) to get this all done...so we have time to code it into the site. We still need to check out the PayPal/AlertPay issues...that was put on hold with the onset of the server issues.

Well...enough said. Remember, check for more information on our forum. That is where we will keep the most current, relevent information concerning not only our sites...but with the Pay To industry as a whole.

Host Migration Status 080612

Hey Everyone:

Just thought that I would give a brief update as to what is going on here. It seems that no matter how fast we can do things...something is alwasy there to slow us down. I completed all of the tasks last night to set up the new hosting account. When I came back online this mornng, I was able to add Twysted to the FTP "allowed" list: so that he could upload the sites to the host. I had also changed the "HTTP 404 Error" page hours ago...but it too is not displaying. Even though they say it should display after 30 minutes...it probably will take more like 12 hours.

As of 7pm this evening, everything had already been uploaded....but for some reason the site still is not displaying. This too will probably take a half day to display...assuming that there are not any other problems that we have to attend to. I will continue to work with Twysted this evening, to see if there is anything else that we need to do. If the site is still not displaying in the morning, then I will contact the host's help desk to get some kind of resolution.

I will continue to update this blog as I get more information to pass on. However, if there is nothing to report, then I may not write. Anyways, thank you again for your continued support in hanging around with us as we go through these tough times.
